1970's Coin Operated Games of Chance
« on: March 31, 2014, 03:00:33 PM »
I have a collection of mid-70's coin operated games of chance, there are about a half dozen different games. My father bought them new in the 70's from a company called Performance Enterprise Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  There is very little on the internet about this company or these games.  He put them in bars around Virginia and North Carolina, customers would put in a quarter and do a side bet on the outcome.  You make a selection of your winning bet (horse, ball, car, etc.) and then lights show progress and the eventual winner.  They caused many bar fights back in the day, supposedly they eventually became banned around military bases in the VA Beach area.  They are not in working order at this time as they have been in storage for 30-40 years. Eventually, we may pay for them to get restored or we may sell them outright.  We are just looking to find someone who deals with these or knows something about them.  Any knowledge or leads about them or someone that deals with this style of game would be much appreciated.
